The Brendan Tripp Elam Transplant Center at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City, Missouri specializes in pediatric heart, liver, kidney, and multi-organ transplants. The Liver Transplant program is part of the Liver Care Center, offering comprehensive care for children with liver disease. Founded in 1897, Children’s Mercy is a non-profit, independent children’s hospital with approximately 9,000 employees and more than 50 pediatric specialties. It features the highest-level pediatric trauma center and neonatal intensive care unit and has earned Magnet designation six consecutive times. The hospital has been performing transplants since 1991, and the Brendan Tripp Elam Transplant Center was established in 2014 through a philanthropic gift from Montie and Marjorie Tripp, whose grandson received a liver transplant at Children's Mercy.
